Hey guys, please help me out. I am an owner of a MacBook Pro with software 10.6.8 and I have a 2 GHz intel core duo processor, and I was wondering, if it is possible for me to upgrade to an i5 intel core processor, so I can install mavericks to my MacBook Pro.

There is no way to plug in a different processor on your older MacBook. Processors have been soldered in for quite a long time.

The only known method is to convert your MacBook to Cash (by selling it) and use the cash to buy a MacBook that better meets your needs.
