iCloud and Gmail addresses mixed up?

Hi everyone, my first time writing here!

1. " @ mac.com/@ me. com" as my primary e-mail address

2. my secondary personal G-mail address which I log in

I have Apple account on my Mail and check gmail only on web browser.

Yesterday, I received a couple of replies to e-mails, which I used my Apple address to send, in my gmail inbox somehow.

In the "---Original Message---" part of the replies I received says I sent the original from my gmail account.

I have never touched any settings or whatsoever.

It seems this weird thing happened only during Nov. 21. Everything went corrently today.

Has anyone had the same problem before or yesterday, Nov. 21?

These e-mail addresses are sharing the same username like "example123 @ mac~ " and "example123 @ gmail.~".

Do you think that would cause a mix up like my case?? (which I believe is impossible.)

So, I deleted the empty account, and then took a snapshot of the advanced page and realized the email account is my home email account. This is NOT how I originally set up email on this Mac. It was working fine until the change to Mavericks. Pvlearners is my work email. I changed the account to the pvlearners.net account w/password, but I'm not confident that this will fix things.

No it isn't.

Actually I tried to have both my iCloud and Gmail accounts on Mail long time ago, but I had the exact same problem, so I ended up deleting my Gmail.

It is possible! I am having the same issues. Although it is both with gmail-like accounts. I have a work email account powered by google's in our school district, and then my personal gmail account. If I create or reply to an email in one account it is sent from the other account -- almost always now. On one computer (work) is only configured to the work email (in Apple Mail 7.0 - Mavericks), and the other computer (home) is only configured to my home email (also in Apple Mail 7.0 - Mavericks). This only started to happen when I upgraded both computers to Mavericks and the subsequent software upgrades. My user names have similar letters, but not exactly the same and the suffixes are completely different (@ __ __ __ __).

Open Mail (on either machine) navigate to Preferences>Accounts, open the SMTP server dropdown and take a screenshot.

Delete the 2nd Gmail server (the one that has no account listed for it), show me the advanced page first please.

Is the pvlearners account home or work?

You must choose the correct SMTP server for the account,, right now the pvlearners account is using the wrong outgoing server (it appears to be using your home account outgoing)

Set the account up correctly and set the checkbox to 'Use Only This Server' (see below)
