How to sync mail accounts between ios7 and Mavericks?

Dear All,

I set up a few mail accounts on my Mavericks, but do not want to do the same process again on my iPhone5.

Is there any solution to make the iphone to pick up the mail accounts defined on Mavericks? The "accounts" list in system settings should be put in sync only...

Thanks in advance!

MacBook Air, OS X Mavericks (10.9)

Use iCloud to sync mail between your Mac and iPhone.

This was not only my hope but my expectaton at this point. Apple's re-birth has come and gone, and a half-wit is now at the helm, and there's no incentive anymore to do great work because "Steve would want you to". You just muddle through your job not caring much anymore about that Apple-trademark merging of your information. Sad; truly sad.

Microsoft now has the same interface on their phone, their tablet, and their notebooks and desktops. It's not my favorite interface, but they have realized that milestone.

I am very aware that I am talking to Apple customers and users, and it scares me if this is truly the market apple has to try to capture because as I see are a bunch grown men and woman acting like little kids. I'll be if I gave the keys to the executive suite of the Trump Taj Mahal In NJ, you people would end up writing a 100 page article on the small problems you find rather than the overwhelming experience one can experience at such as place. In like manner, the problem I am running in to are these so-called experts that are acting so jealous of my academic and professional backgound that they are doing what jealous children do - attack the person they are jealous of for reasons that have nothing to do with their expertise -- rather than considering what I have to say.

Throw my education aside -- I know my s**t as much as any of you -- I've been using a Mac and developing Mac software since before the "1984" Macintosh 128k. Of course, I've kept a good eye on the 'PC' side of things (even though the Mac was more of a PC than then 'PC' was, in the vernacular of the times) The Reduced Instruction Set Processor (RISC) was IBM's biggest contribution in my opinion, to the PC wars.

So, I will ask if someone wants to have a legitimate conversation of what Mac needs to do to match the Microsoft strategy of having essentially one interface no matter what the device: smartphone, tablet, or computer. Should apple do the same (actually we have already done the same, but should we push that screen on the desktops/laptops?) I honestly haven't make up my mind on what would be the best thing to do next and I'd enjoy hearing from others on their ideas on what we can do next that Microsoft couldnt match.

Oh hi Grant, sorry almost missed the on-topic constructive comment amongst the personal attacks from Elmer Phd. It's a feature I never used. Looks like quite a reasonable thing they took out. Probably the maintenence and configuration management outweighed its usefulness.

I would have thought the loss of sync services or the current problems with Exchange would generate more reaction from the business community than this small change. They are used every day whereas email accounts tend to be added only when new devices are purchased.

The most on-topic conversation in this thread has come from me, "Elmer PhD". The business community isn't outraged that Exchange push email is not working through an iPhone. Their level of concern is about as significant as your accomplishments in life, my good man. iPhone is and remains the outlier in business communication. Yes it can work, but not with a bunch of complainers at the helm. In order to fix a problem, one or more solutions must be suggested. Now I solicited answers from you all, and all you could come up with is another name for me that codifies the jealousy you have concerning my education. The group of 'users' in this email thread couldn't change a flat tire, even with an instruction manual -- surely we can't expect you to rise to my challenge and offer a solution to the fact that email accounts can no longer be synced in iTunes. Happy trails, my friends. I am going to probably earn in one month more than you have earned in two years.

You may wonder why that is. It is because I get things done in this world, gentlemen. The rest of you ironically have lived up to your reputation of simply complaining, getting distracted by your own lack of effectiveness, and like when a 6 year old drives by on a brand new bike, you come up with the thing to say that makes your feel personally, without addressing the issue at all -- the fact that we all need to enter many of our email accounts by hand in our iPhones and iPads.

Enjoy your mediocrity, my friends.

"Elmer PhD" (I kind of like this one...I may keep it as a momentous of how utterly ineffective you have been)

Hello Peter,

"Elmer Phd" :-)

not THAT's clever...

Yes, i actually think that most enterprises would be concerned with credentials being sync'd only via cloud. While Apple's cloud may in fact be more secure than some enterprises, the control instinct in large IT departments is large....

I would not be surprised if this was reconsidered by Apple. Despite my negative reaction to diatribes, i do think this was a poor move on Apple's part, and likely driven by a desire to push everyone onto 10.7+ and icloud....

Good holidays all,

G
