Is there any way to bypass Setup Assistant for IPad Air? Very user unfriendly! Think OS has easier ways to set up WiFi etc.

Is there any way to bypass Setup Assistant for IPad Air? Very user unfriendly! Think OS has easier ways to set up WiFi etc.
Yes. Plug your iPad into your computer and activate it via iTunes. Those are your two choices....OTA using WiFi or using iTunes on a computer. If you don't use iTunes, it is a free download from Apple.
I tried this and it did not get me around Setup Assistant. Hoped to see some sort of desktop on the IPad. Did not happen. Still wants to go through Setup Assistant which I was trying to avoid. What do I do now?
also seems to have lost english as language of choice. have no clue as to what is trying to tell me. very disappointed. time to give up?
It is very user friendly, just read each step and follow directions
At this point you should start over. Connect via cable to the computer (turn off wifi) Use iTunes to restore to factory settings and content.
Then start the set up as a new device again.
Pay close attention so you select English.
Select NO PASSCODE, it will question this, select no passcode again.
If you want a passcode, set it up afterwards and carefully enter and record it.
would appreciate any kind of help. seems totally messed up at this point. no clue as to what it wants as not in english. how do i get to something resembing a desktop? seems to be totally lost at this pont.
You can't get desktop. Please follow setup procedure with iTunes after you restore to factory with iTunes.
Trying to start all over. ITunes is returning to factory settings. How do I avoid having to use Setup Assistant. Did not get a desktop like I hoped and prayed for. Can not figure out Setup Assistant. Does not seem to understand input. Can I get to the OS or do I return IPad to dealer for refund?
If you can't get pass the set up assistant; you might want to consider returning it....It's very ....very simple to follow the instructions on it.
You can't avoid set up. It's an iPad.....
Have you opened an iTunes account with your email address on iTunes?
Carefully read and follow directions. One of the first questions is language. Select US English.
Read this.... Directions on setting up your iPad.
I am trying my damndest tyo get this to work. Can not see anyway in ITunes to get to desktop on the IPad. Keeps wanting to sync with ITunes. That's not what I am trying to do. Tring to figure out some way to get iPad set up. If just not possible to avoid Setup Assistant than please just say so.
Setup Assistantant easy? No way! Can not get it to accept any input. About worn out trying to figure out will not accept anything I do on the IPad. I try to say use English and it just charges ahead anyway!
Something isn't right. I suspect the iPad is refurbished.
Return it and get one sealed with shrink wrap....
I guess it hasn't been said clearly enough. You can't avoid set up assistant.
It should follow the set up as in the link I sent you.
Can not get it to accept my apple ID. Will not accept password. do i ignore requirement of capital letter in it or how do i enter a capital letter?.
Good, sounds like you got past the language.
Your Apple ID must be a valid email address. Have you opened an account? If not, select the back arrow and set up a free iTunes Apple ID. Only your password is case sensitive. Password must be 8 letters and numbers and must include upper and lower case...
So it will not take
arthur78 or arthurseventyeight or 129375648
