I've got the same issue here, Machting step 1 and 2 work fine, but when starting step 3 I get a window saying that iTunes has stopped working and it closes automatically. When I restart the process of matching starts again, and stops iTunes again, so normal use of itunes is not possible. What can I do?

EDIT: I have put Match to stop, so I can use iTunes to play my music on my PC. But that does not solve te real issue

Most of the songs are in the cloud, but because the action cannot be completed the problem persists

    TIA Spikebyt

I can confirm the same problem.  The frustrating part is that when I sign out and back in it's as if it did NOT successfully complete steps 1 and 2 so it has to do it ALL OVER again.. and then crashes each time at step three.

    Not exactly a pleasant experience.

Yes the same for me. I signed up ages ago. It took me several months of tries to get my 60 GB of music up there. It just kept crashing, except just occasionally, it didnt.  So on these occasions I just left it uploading for days on end. I am having the same issues now about updating new additions to iTunes.

I have read that it doesnt like you to have your itunes stored on a standalone HD (which I do) but people seem to have problems with or without this so who knows!

I tried resorting my itunes tracks by the column with the cloud symbol so that all the failed ones were at the top. I think this might have helped a bit. It is a job to tell what helps, it all seems so random. All I can suggest is persevere!

It certainly makes you wonder about the all conquering power of Apple when they seem incapable of sorting this out.

I have the same problem as described above.  It's been happening since about one week after I signed up for iTunes Match.  Does it not work with Windows 7?  Is there some other account issue?  This is just frustrating.  I paid this money instead of a Spotify account or similar service because I wanted to have access to my recordings on multiple devices.  Does iTunes running on a Windows computer not count?  It works on my iMac desktop and my iPhone, but it doesn't work on my Dell.
