How to make an epub with embedded videos using Pages

I created an ibook with embedded videos on ibook author and it works great on the iPad but now I need to get it on the iPhone. I created the same file in pages and exported it as an epub and it appears to work great but when I have it on the iPhone all the videos play except for one huge problem. All 8 different videos only play the first one. I think only the first video is getting exported into the file as the whole file is around 600 MB but my exported epub is only about 50MB which makes sense for the first video. Does anyone have a solution. Does the new pages for OS X Mavericks work for this?
