Hi, I have the 10.0.8 version of final cut pro x. I am currently waiting to the new december release to buy it. But with this version it seems impossible to export a movie. I get this error The operation could not be completed because an error occurred when creating frame 39879 (error -1).

I appreciate your help. This is urgent. thanks

Trash your preferences. Trash your project render files. Switch off background rendering. Export without using the computer for anything else.

Oh, and if you're using 10.9 switch off App Nap.

Excuse my ignorance but how do I trash my preferences. And the project render files? I thought I had to render before exporting. My work is 1.30 minutes so it is heavey. I appreciate your advice.

Use Preference Manager from Digital Rebellion to trash the preferences. The project render files are inside the project folder on your hard drive. Dump the whole folder. No, you do not have to render before exporting. That was recommended for previous versions.
