Q: Changing iCloud account on iPhone

Hi everyone,

Just trying to figure out how to change the apple ID that my iCloud account is signed into on my phone

I created a new apple ID and want to use this new apple ID for imessage, icloud etc.

I have the new apple ID working for itunes and the app store, however the cloud account won't change over. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this?

HI everyone,
I'm sorry but I am new to this community and really don't know how to post. My problem is my wife whom I am no longer with made the iCloud account and when I try to delete it asks for the password which has been changed? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You will need the current password from her in order to delete the existing account. She can also erase the phone and remove it from her account herself, as explained here: Find My iPhone Activation Lock: Removing a device from a previous owner’s account.
