i have a mac book pro and its running on OS X 10.6.2 and im tring to find a version of garage band that will work for that opperating system my computer is a 06 mac book

With MacOS X 10.6.8 you could be running GarageBand '11, Version 6.0.5, see: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1507
The only problem is, that this version is no longer sold at the AppStore. So you will have to find a boxed version of iLife '11 with GarageBand installers, maybe you can find them still at Amazon or an Apple Retail Store in your neighborhood may still have them.
