Can I delete one whole instance of a Time Machine backup?

Weird things started happening to my imac today so I restored from a time machine backup.

So the backup I used was from today at around 11:30 (before the weird things) but I noticed there was another backup at 1:37 pm. (Which probably contain the weird things)

Can I delete the entire 1.37 pm backup or do I have to reformat the entire time capsule to erase that backup?
