after wakeup grey screen, runs slow

since new softwareupdate (OS X 10.9 (13A603)- when computer wakes up I'm presented with grey screen with progress bars at bottom. takes a while, then comes up with regular screen, but takes another minute or so to have access to mouse. reading through forums on internet seems this is a common issue. suggested changing startup items in terminal, but I'm reluctant to do so as I'm not that savvy and afraid to really screwing things up.


additionally, computer running really really s l o w. have done several clean ups with clean my mac, including deep cleaning, but proble


any suggestions? fix for software glitch?


really annoying. top of the line macbook pro shouldnt be running this way
