Why does it take so long for processing items?

I ordered my Iphone 5s last friday and my order status is still : Processing Items.

I'm worried because I haven't been billed yet, and what if it didn't' work?

Don't worry - it will happen all of a sudden. I recently bought a new iPad Air from the online store. Takes a few days for anything to happen but all of a sudden it will and you'll get an email notification - or you can click on the order number for updates.

Apple didn't take my money until a day or two after I'd received the goods!

I've bought quite a few things via the Apple Online Store and it seems that when you place your order and give them your card details some kind of check and marker is put on your account as to whether there are funds to cover the purchase and that there no problems with the card. If all is OK you don't hear anything the order process runs its course.

Sometimes I've seen people mention that they've had an order declined with no clear explanation as to why. Perhaps there was a problem with the card. If you haven't heard anything within a few days or order I think you can safely assume it's progressing normally.

Just my take on what 'I think' happens 🙂.
