Q: An iPhoto alert comes up and says cannot open a certain image because the original cannot be found.

I am trying to put my entire library on a USB stick to keep. I have 12,000 photos, and I would really like to try and avoid going through all of them. I dont know how to delete the image or find the original. Any help appreciated

These are your options:
1. Restore the iPhoto library from the most recent backup that predates the issue.
2. Repair or rebuild the library.
3. Scavenge the library with iPhoto Library Manager independently of iPhoto (Library ▹ Rebuild). Books, calendars, and slideshows won't be preserved.

Did you at any time copy or move any image files out of the Masters folder under the iPhoto Library.photolibrary package?
