Do you have backup you can restore from - just in case your problems escalate:

Nov 24, 2013 6:40 AMby Paul_31,Bit stuck for ideas, but you could try a Safe Boot and test: restart holding down the Shift key, input your admin password at the prompt, let it boot and test. Resstart as normal from the Apple menu.
I think iPhoto version 9.4.3 is what you want for MLion. Does it show up as that in the Mac App Store Purchases tab?
