Do you have backup you can restore from - just in case your problems escalate:

Nov 24, 2013 6:40 AM in response to mikehendeby Paul_31,Bit stuck for ideas, but you could try a Safe Boot and test: restart holding down the Shift key, input your admin password at the prompt, let it boot and test. Resstart as normal from the Apple menu.
I think iPhoto version 9.4.3 is what you want for MLion. Does it show up as that in the Mac App Store Purchases tab?

Nov 24, 2013 6:44 AM in response to Paul_31by mikehende,I am not the owner of the mac just trying to help the friend out, I did not bother to pay attention yesterday to the version when he was here when we tried to purchase from Apple but my guess would be the lates version since it reuires Mavericks.
