When I try to update apps it says that I need to update to iOS 6 or later. When I try to update it says that iOS 5.1.1 . How do I get the iOS updates I need so that I can update my apps?

If you have the iPad 1 the highest iOS level it can be updated to is iOS 5.1.1. If App updates require iOS 6 or higher you will not be able to get them.
Can't update apps and does not show that I can update the iPad?
