i updated my 32 gb ipod 4th gen and the screen is stuck on a pic of the itunes logo above an up arrow which is above a pic the usb end of my cord. How do i get off this screen?

Do as the image on the screen suggest, connect the device to a computer running iTunes.
iTunes should then detect a device in recovery mode so that it can be restored.
