Audio problem

Hi

Recently upgraded to iMac 27 3.4 FD and Apogee quartet. Everything fine except trying to record audio in. For example, when I plug my guitar in it will sound fine for a few seconds and then the latency (regardless of settings in Logic) will jump to about half a second. Also the sound crackles, not overload distortion, more like the sound of a faulty lead.

Anyone else experienced this or have any suggestions?

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1

It's a known problem relating to 1.) the Fusion Drive and 2.) The USB 3.0 ports working with some USB 2.0 devices. Apogee is aware of it and wotking with Apple on a fix.

Also, search the forum using: Apogee Quartet
