Adobe Flash not working! Please help!

Alright so I was doing some clean up on my computer ( deleting old files and the like) and I guess what happened is that I thought I was deleting an old adobe photoshop thing ( which I no long have on my computer) and instead deleted something to do with my adobe flash player, because now I go to youtube or websites to game and I get the "update your flash player message". I've updated my flash player, I've tried installing adobe air, I've updated everything and I'm still getting this message. Can some one please tell me what I need to do so I can surf the web again? I have a Mac OS X Version 10.6.8

You can check here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS.

You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):

http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/909/cpsid_90906.html

and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications (including Safari) first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.

After installing, reboot your Mac and relaunch Safari, then in Safari Preferences/Security enable ‘Allow Plugins’.
