Q: I have deleted 100s of photos and videos from my iPhone 4S and ipad - i never need these again and want to make room on my icloud for backups - haven't been able to back upsince september becuz i was over the 5GB free.I only wantwhat is currently on both

    Welcome to the Apple Community.

     

    You don't actually need to delete anything from the phone to be able to back up, you just need to make your back up smaller by omitting something from the back up. (Settings > iCloud > storage & backup > manage storage)
