Nov 26, 2013 8:00 AM in response to Jacques-Edouard Sabatierby Studio X,Or, connect your old MacBookPro with the DVD player in it and your new computer to the same ethernet or Airport network.
In the old machine, go to System Preferences > Sharing. Turn it on for the DVD player.
Insert the Install Disc in the old machine.
From the new machine, go to Finder and your old machine should show up. Connect to the shared DVD.
Copy the disc over to the new machine.
Run the installer from the hard drive of the new machine.
Or,
on the old machine make a disc image of the installer disc and put the image on a flash drive.
Bring the flash drive to the new machine and install from it.
