Q: install without cd

Hi,

I changed my old Macbook pro for a brand new one. I want to install Logic express on this new computer but I can't use the CD, sinc there is no CD player anymore... I have not been able to find an official apple link to dowload Express, does it exist ?

Thanks,

Jack

Or, connect your old MacBookPro with the DVD player in it and your new computer to the same ethernet or Airport network.

In the old machine, go to System Preferences > Sharing. Turn it on for the DVD player.

Insert the Install Disc in the old machine.

From the new machine, go to Finder and your old machine should show up. Connect to the shared DVD.

Copy the disc over to the new machine.

Run the installer from the hard drive of the new machine.

    Or,

on the old machine make a disc image of the installer disc and put the image on a flash drive.

Bring the flash drive to the new machine and install from it.
