Select your images and File->New->Slideshow.
Choose a theme.
You're then in the slideshow editor. There's a little music icon on the far right. Click that to show the iTunes browser and then drag you tracks to the film strip.

Thanks Andy- the Itunes icon does not respond when I click on it. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Perhaps there's been an update to iTunes and it's waiting for you to acknowledge the terms and conditions.
Try opening iTunes first, and make sure it opens okay, then try again in Aperture.

What are your iTunes versions and Aperture versions? Are both current?
And is your iTunes library available? Is it locally stored or in the cloud?
Here is, what it should look like. Pressing the Audio-Browser icon should open the Audio-Browser panel, even, if your iTunes library should be offline. Do you see at least the Aperture Theme music, when you are pressing that button?
