I can't manually search for places in iPhoto 09

Hi!

I recently decided to completely restore my Power Mac G5 with OS X Leopard and after installing iLife '09 again, it won't let me manually search for places via the 'Google Search' funtion in iPhoto '09.

At present all of the updates available via Software Update are downloaded and installed, so I'm running iPhoto 8.1.2. The option for automatically adding Places data is enabled, yet useless as my camera does not have GPS built in.

Can anybody help?
