Dumb question, but...

If I've got my iPod set so that I can manage my own music manually, should I be worried about uploading pictures when it says it's going to "First copy all of your music to your iPod."?

I'm new to the 5th gen iPod (use to have a 4th gen 20GB that didn't have photo, obviously) and I want to make sure I won't accidentally erase all of my music while I'm trying to load like 10 photos. I figure I'm safe if I make a seperate folder and load only those photos, but the "synchronize" part has me a little nervous.

Help?
