Is there a solution to removing emoji characters from the contact list yet?

Hi Chris!
When the app new emoji 300+ was activated it placed some 400 emoji icons into my contact list! Very annoying!! When I deleted the app, it duplicated the emoji contacts in my list....there are now over 800 to delete, far too many to delete individually!
A number of users have commented on this problem!!

I agree with Meg. This is a 3rd party app and not an Apple app. Whatever it might have done to your contact list is something you need to investigate with the developer. You say a number of users have commented on this problem. I do not recall anyone naming this app here in the forum. Not sure where you saw the comments, but maybe someone found an answer?
I never knew anyone was looking for a solution. I would say that you could edit a contact and remove an emoji, since it is just a typed character.
Perhaps you could contact the app developer and see if they have a suggestion.
