How Do I Add Bars to a track

I think I've looked at over 100 webpages and perused the Garage Band help but I cannot find an answer to this simple question: how do I add bars (measures) to a track? I have 48 bars and there appears to be no way to increase it. I've right clicked, I've checked every item in every dropdown menu. I've googled it till my head has dropped off and still no answer. I'm sure it's simple...any hints as to how to do it?

What is the GarageBand version? GarageBand 6.0.5 or GarageBand 10.0.1?

In both versions is a tiny "End of Song" marker triangle at the end of the timeline above the tracks area. Drag it to the right to add more measures. In GB 10.0 you need to reduce the zoom level, to be able to see this triangle. The zoom slider is occluding it by default. By zooming out you will see it.
