I have a 2012 Samsung Smart TV. I have wifi. I can watch full episodes of TV shows (video) on my ipad, but cannot find out how to stream from my ipad to the TV. I have followed many leads to no avail, such as plex, mirroring. Can anyone help?

What kind of adapter/cable are you using to connect your iPad to the TV? Does the NBC app allow airplay?
I am trying to do this wirelessly. For some reason, at this moment, the NBC app will not open on my mini ipad. On my iPhone, the app has an option for video over wifi only, but I dont see AirPlay.
No it does not.
To do it wirelessly you will need to buy an Apple TV.
Do you know what I need to connect my mini ipad to the TV if that would work? I have a USB port and an HMDI line available on the TV. Thank you for your time.
If the NBC app does't open have you tried deleting and reinstalling the app? Every time I logged into NBC.com they switched me to their nbc.go.com, which is their live feed and I couldn't watch from my browser like you want to.
Thank you, deggie. I have looked into Apple TV, Roku, and Hulu (which didn't have the programs I wanted), but haven't felt comfortable choosing one. I thought there must be some way to stream from my device. Now I see that probably the simplest is through Apple TV.

The NBC app quit working on my ipad because I hadn't upgraded it to ios7 like I had my iPhone 5, and I read on the app site that it now required ios7. I have upgraded, and it works fine.
Glad to hear you fixed it. I had the wrong network in my earlier comment. In a pinch you can watch NBC on your browser.
No I can't. That is what has been so frustrating. Oh. We may be talking about two different browsers. I'm saying I can't watch NBC on my Smart TV browser. I find that very frustrating when I can watch it on a computer browser, but not the "Smart" browser. When I try, I get a message that it should be watched on a computer.
Think I'll do Apple TV. I hardly watch any TV, so don't care to pay for cable, etc.
