help the Iphone 5 I have errored out on the last update. In order to get the thing working at all i had to format as new phone. It lost all my contacts.
how do I get them back

The phone is not what was errored out.
In the future, please post in your native language as your ability to communicate the issue in English is severely lacking.
The first step in the update, if done via iTunes on the computer, is a backup.
Simply restore the device using the most recent backup.
Hey diesel if you can not help then do not post. It shows that you think you know everything as for my native lanquage I have to keep simple for people like ypu.
The rencent update errored out on my phone it then require me to format as a new phone then it lost all my contacts how do I get then back
