New AirPort Extreme time capsule to replace current AEBS

Is there a simple way to do this. I want to replace an old AEBS with a new AirPort Extreme time capsule. Do I have to create a new network? I'm not really extending the network, I'm just replacing the base station. If I use the exact name of my old wireless network and the exact password, will all devices abe ble to automatically connect to the new base station? Should I expect any trouble connecting to the pre-existing modem that the other base station was connected to? I'm hoping to avoid calls to the ISP and/or Apple and many hours of lost Internet time. Thanks
