My iPad 2 screen is flashing between apple logo then to battery symbol

My iPad 2 ran out if battery I plugged it into the wall and the screen turned in showing the battery image it then flashed to the apple logo and back to the battery. I changed chargers and tried a different socket, I tried rebooting it holding home and lock button and it turns black the apple logo appears then back to flashing alternate logos.

I left it to charge over night and it is still flashing between two screens.

Anyone with similar problems? I just hope it's a quick fix!!

Try with a different cable or power adapter to try the charge. Check out the article below for further troubleshooting options.

and my i pad 2 does not even charge, keep getting the signal at the charging port,and its never been dropped, or abused ,any suggestions?????????????

I am getting same problem . I activated DFU mode .Then use itune to restore the Ipad . Still no luck. extracting the firmware and waiting for ipad. Then Ipad disconnected. No luck
