My pages app disappeared.

My pages app disappeared.

So basically I haven't used this app (Pages) in a while, but I know about a year ago I bought it to type up an essay for school on it. I went to app store and it looks totally different now, no more ink pen, it looks different, so anyway I click to download it, but apparently I can't download it cuz my Macbook doesn't have the latest software, So I go and click "Software Update" in the left hand corner under the apple sign, and there is no new updates for my laptop, I have a normal Macbook pro 13" version 10.7.5 ? and i need 10.9 apparently, Does this mean there will be no updates for my laptop ever again? did they stop making them, just like for the iPhone 2g and 3g? Because, I kinda do need pages, and i kinda already paid 20$ to have it.. Help?

If you paid $20 for Pages wasn't that for Pages '09 and isn't that in your Applications folder?

Pages 5 is strictly for OSX 10.9 and up until Apple choses to break it, again.

Well see it was in my applications folder up until well I just noticed a couple of days ago that its missing so I went to the "app store" on my mac, and went under "purchased" and I did purchase it about a year ago and it is there and then I clicked install but like doesn't work cuz i dont have the update that it needs, but i'm guessing pages got updated so i need an update. to an 10.9 which im not getting ... I don't know what you mean by theses other types of pages, when i type in "pages" in the app store only one "pages" app shows up >.< And I have purchased it, before, and i had it before ! but now i cant have it!
