macbook pro will not download awem romance of rome,have previously dowloaded 2 awem games before without a problem.

From where are you trying to download this game, and what exactly happens when you try?
thought i downloaded from itunes,but in finder a pop up says i cannot open app because microsoft apps are not supported by os x (how microsoft got involved is beyond me) although i have been billed for this app once by paypal and once by itunes.

As to this "microsoft" app, what is the app file name, and what exactly is the error message you get when you try to run the app?

when i hit the app in launchpad the app loads a pop up appears with exeption and then lines of other data
