I just downloaded OS X 10.9 Mavericks, and now I can't open iphoto 9.5 . I have to download the iphoto library upgrader, but when I do, it will not install. I am directed to move upgrader to the trash, as it may be damaged or corrupted. Where to turn to??? Operating MacMini OS X 10.9.

What happens? What error messages do you get? Have you looked in the untilities foldr of the Applications folder - that is where it installs?

Thanks for your reply, I have looked in the utilities folder in applications, its not there. When I download the upgrader, I try to open it with Installer, but the installer does nothing, it just hangs up (bouncing). I then get the message that the Upgrader cannot be opened because it is damaged, and it should be put in the trash. This has now happened at least four times.
OK problem solved. Didn't need the upgrader after all, as I have iphoto 9.5, and all I had to do is hold down the ctrl and option keys and click on iphoto, et voila!. Should have "read the label first", I guess..Thanks a bunch for all your help.
