What happened to Alignment Guides? #APPLE are you being serious?!
The new Pages 5 is a joke.

Alignment guide are there. in Pages 5.0 they aren't on by default so you have to activate them in Pages preferences. If you update to Pages 5.0.1 they will be on by default.
Ah, gotcha. Alignment guides that show up when you are on, near or around an object.
But what about dragging out guides from the Rulers both vertical and horizontal?
Is that possible? I think you used to be able to hit 'W' and they would show. Thanks for your help!
No you used to just drag the snap to guides out from the Rulers, but Apple removed them from Pages 5.

No, those lines are gone. I would use PAges 09 instead. You should have it in Applications > iWork 09.
Any Pages 5 document you want to keep go File > Export > Pages 09 then dlete PAges 5 if you don't want it.
