How do i use my older imac as a server?
I have an older imac which runs os x 7.5. It is a 5,1 build, late 2006.
Is this possible or wishful thinking.
I have a home network with several other macs, xbox, wii, etc.
Mac OS X (10.7.5), 3 other iMacs

File sharing is supported in the client (non-server) OS. Simply enable file sharing in the Sharing preferences pane. You can support up to 10 client connections - mac or pc. Once you've enabled File Sharing it should be obvious where in the interface you can add folders you wish to share and what permissions you wish to set.
