ical will not allow me to change the alert email address. I've done the standard stuff: added and deleted my contact info and made it my card, deleted the address ical insists on using, restarted. No dice. Please help!

I've also been struggling with this problem . Came across something which said this info was being pulled from the address book. Hope someone can/will post a solution.

This Terminal command should remove all stored default email alerts from iCal. Copy the long single line below into a Terminal window and press Return.

defaults delete com.apple.iCal 'PersistentMenu-lastUsedAlarms'; defaults delete com.apple.iCal 'PersistentMenu-lastUsedAllDayAlarms'; defaults delete com.apple.iCal 'PersistentMenu-lastUsedTimedAlarms'

This is the response when I cut/pasted the terminal command suggested by John M

"There is no (PersistentMenu-lastUsedTimedAlarms) default for the (com.apple.iCal) domain.

Defaults have not been changed.

What version of OSX are you using?

I am using OSX 10.7.5

Open Address Book and from its Card menu select My Card. Does the contact it opens have the email you are seeing?

John, I replaced the old MY CONTACT email with the desired one and the new address appears as an alert option in ICAL. I appreciate your time and effort since many folks at the apple stores could not clear this up for me.
