I had Boot Camp 4.0 and wanted to upgrade due to wireless performance.
I attempted to uninstall it via Program and Features (appwiz.cpl), it wasn't listed under Boot Camp Services like I expected it to be
I uninstalled it via: http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall
I no loner have the icon in my system tray
I still have the icon in Control Panel that opens up an error "Application not Found" when clicked on
When I try to run the 5.0 Installer I get the following error:
Eventlog Information:
ID: 11708
Product: Boot Camp Services -- Installation failed.
ID: 1033
Windows Installer installed the product. Product Name: Boot Camp Services. Product Version: 5.0.5033. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: Apple Inc.. Installation success or error status: 1603.
I don't have the option to reinstall at the moment so I'm trying to get this working without that.
No windows firewall on as well.
