Q: why does shuffle play the same songs in sequence?

Whenever I select 'shuffle' to randomise my playlist, it seems to play the songs in the same sequence EVERY time??? Why? How can I change this?

Safari 6.0, Mac OS X (10.7.4)

Problem seems to have been solved in iTunes V12.5.1.21.
