My windows PC died, the motherboard is toast. So, I am trying to transfer my data from the hard disk (NTFS) to a new mac using a migration assistant.
If I connect the HDD to the mac, it detects it fine. However, the migration assistant does not recognize that hard disk, and refuses to read it to transfer data.
SO, I connected my HDD to another windows7 laptop. I ran windows migration assistant on the laptop. After the laptop connects, the Mac only seers the Users folder from the primary hard disk on the laptop (C:) and not the external hard disk that I attached.
I can see all the files and folders in the external hard disk.
How do I copy my data over, without having to do this manually ?
Thanks
