Q: device isn't eligible for the requested build error. what does that mean?

Ive tried to use this help on apple for my iPhone 4S but it doesn't change the error message i keep getting. any other suggestions? it just stays on recovery mode with the plug into itunes screen. ive looked on apple suggestions and nothing seems to help. i need more ideas

    You have posted from a Support Article about Error Code 3194...

     

    If that Article did not resolve it... then you have a problem.

     

    Perhaps a Visit to an Apple Store or AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) is required..

     

    Be sure to make an appointment first...

     

    Note:

     

    That error message may be indicative of the Device being Hacked / jailbroken.... If this is the case then you are on your own.

    well first it had error 1, then i thought i fixed that and it had error 11, and now it says this. I figured there had to be a way to fix these crazy error messages but i will be making an appointment. i didnt know if it could be solved by me though. i first needed to restore the iphone becuase it wouldnt show my verizon network, it just said searching so it tried to restore it and the error messages occured.

    Error 1 can indicate a Hardware issue.

    However... were you Restoring as New or from Backup...?

     

    If from Backup... try a Restore as New.

    i think i tried to restore as new. it doesnt let me finish restoring it either way. it stops at with about 60% left on the bar and the apple logo above. and error message 1
