IPod Touch 5th Generation 32GB won't scroll

I have a 4th generation ipod Touch 16GB. While the music plays & moves down the screen, it will scroll itself so if you look at the screen, you know what song it's on (it's highlighted). I got my husband the iPod Touch 5th Generation 32 GB & it doesn't scroll. Is there a problem with it or is that just the way the 5th Generation is?

I do not know what you mean. In iOS 7, Apple deleted coverflow. See:

When you are in the songs list, while the music is playing it will scroll down on the screen by itself on the 4th generation. But on the 5th Generation it doesn't seem to do that.
