can't locate parallels vm

I just had to restore my iMac from a TM backup as a result of a tough Mavericks "upgrade". I now find that Parallels can'tlocate my windows 7 virtual machine. This is a major pain since I have misplaced my windows 7 disc and the flight sim software I run on it. Any idea on how to recover it?

I searched my hard drive and the TM backup drive for the .pvm file but nothing shows up.

Help!

It's only going to be in the directory you stored it in. If it's not there even in your backup then nobody here would know where it is either.

IIRC, Parallels has a setting to instruct Time Machine to not backup your virtual machines. I would double check to make sure that you don't have that set. If it is, then your Time Machine backup wouldn't have a copy of the VM. I see that option appears to be set on all 3 of my VMs.
