Stolen iPad

I had my iPad stolen and require evidence of my ownership of the device for my insurance company. Does anyone know how to obtain the serial number details or other evidence demonstrating ownership.

I cannot find my purchase receipt from approximately 2 years ago.

Any help would be appreciated.
