Missing Original iPod Software 1.3.1 Updater

Hello All,

Does anyone know where I can download the iPod Software 1.3.1 Updater? It seems that apple archived the support page, but failed to preserve the link to the actual software download (see http://support.apple.com/kb/TA47727?viewlocale=en_US) . I can not find this software anywhere....

here is the background;

I have 2 orignal ipods, that I loaned to a colleague for a art film shoot. He proceeded to erase them (with out my permission or knowledge) so they would work on a old version of windows about a month ago. Know that I have them back, I have no method of restoring them so they can work with a Mac.

I have a old Power Pook Titainum Edition that I was using to manage the library and the sync to the ipods, but that machine just booted its last boot (failed HD and other "issues"). I have a 2nd Gen iMac G4 i can use with 10.3 installed, but no method of restoring the iPods....

HELP! I am desperate to get these 2 working again.
