Q: export of Version doesn't contain changes to image

Hi,

I have aperture 3.5.1 and I have a problem exporting images. I have done some changes on my images such as sharpness and Red Eye Reduction and when I export a version out of Aperture these changes have disapeared on the exported versions. I only use RAW (=NEF) files. I need the picture for an Photoalbum in JPEG.

Can somebody explain to me what I do wrong?

Gr.

How are you exporting? With "File > Export > Version", and preset "Jpeg Original Size"?  Or are you using the Share menu?

Back-up your Library, and then run Repair Database.  Details are on the Apple Aperture Trouble-shooting page.

From all of us  , you're welcome.  It seems you had some minor corruption in your Library.  Aperture does an excellent job managing itself.

You should look in your Library for a Folder called "Recovered Projects" (or something close to that).  In it you'll find anything Aperture saved but doesn't know what to do with.

    Hi Kirby,

I will check my library for that folder. I have a question and I hope you can help me here also:

I have stored all my Master-files on a NAS. In my library on my MB-Pro under the Masters folder I find a lot of pictures who are according Aperture stored on my NAS stand between my other master files. Also, when I ask for Aperture to display the original in Finder then I come out on my NAS. What seems to be the problem and how can I solve this?

I found this just now after I postedn a similar question about TIFF (here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5606498?tstart=0 ).

I will try but the rebuilt of the gallery is the first things Apple Genius will say every time you ask someting about Aperture... However I will try if it works I'll tell you

Sincerely I'm really dissapointed by this kind of bugs (see iWork 2013) it's like a new car and they forget to install sparks....

Hi Bob -- I'm not nearly as good with hardware as other posters here.  Put your question in a new thread (this also helps others who search the forum for answers).  I'm sure you'll get the answer you need.

    Hi Alex,

Léonie has responded in your thread.  You are in very good hands  .

Aperture works well for tens of thousands of users.  We are happy to help you find out why it is not working the way you expect it to.  While your disappointment is understandable, it adds nothing to the process of trouble-shooting.  And since we are all just users here, freely helping others make the most of software sold for a profit that in no way at all benefits us, whining is misplaced, and unlikely to further your cause.

    Just my $0.02.

Note that "rebuild" and "repair" are two distinct actions.  "Repair" might be thought of as a kind of check-up maintenance.  I run it regularly on all my Libraries.  "Rebuild" should not be needed, or used, regularly.  I mention this because I recommended "repair" but your responded by talking about "rebuild".
