I just bought iPad air from UAE & face time not available I live outside UAE how I get faceTime

Sorry, you can't. If the iPad is purchased in a region where FaceTime is banned, this can never be changed.

The UAE government banned FaceTime, so there is no way for you to get FaceTime.

My father bought an I phone 5s in uae, it didn't have facetime, he went home to saudi, did an update and it came. Is it possible for I pad mini 64g as well?

Both were bought in dubai, designed in california, made in China

If the iPhone 5S was destined for the UAE market, it will not have FaceTime. If FaceTime is not on the iPad, this can not be changed by an upgrade.

That is the stupidest thing I have every heard, is it not just software. .. It's not a chip or hardware right.

So when I go back to the states will they exchange it for one that has facetime?

Apple will not exchange the iPad.

the warrenty is not international so one can't exchange it in other countries

After reading everywhere that it simply cannot be fixed, and feeling conned for buying an iPad in the UAE, I found a simple fix!!!!

Go into settings, general, change your location to Egypt and the facetime app just appears.. May need a restart but it worked for both of my ipads, both of them wifi not cellular.

It has occurred to me that you may face another problem when you attempt to purchase apps--unless, of course, you have an Egyptian account and charge card.

SImple just change your region to Egypt and change language to English UK and it will be done.

If the device was original intended for sale in the UAE, this will not help.

IT works ! For Egypt

But if you change the location to India,

The FaceTime disappears.
