moved my media folder to another drive and lost everything.

Trying to clean up my "C" drive. I followed the instructions for moving my files to another drive "H" and lost everything except the cloud purchases.

Figured I'd be smart and try to undo the problem and I still have no music, movies, etc...

Since I have everything backed up on the "G" drive, I manualy repopulated the files into iTunes.

Now I have an Itunes file on the "C" drive and the "H" drive. I still want to clean up the "C" drive, but my advanced preferences folder location is marked as the "C" drive. And I am not certian how to point it to the existing file on the "H" drive.

Any help here?

Yeah, stop what you're doing.

RESTORE the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the backup of the computer.

Now, to clean up the C drive.

Close iTunes.

Move the iTunes folder (the ENTIRE folder) to the desired location.

Hold SHIFT and launch iTunes.

When prompted, point iTunes to the new location.

Once open, go to Edit > Preferences > Advanced and change the location of the media folder there.

moved my media folder to another drive and lost everything.
