I am trying to find an email from October in my trash folder. It was deleted mistakenly, and really important.
When I check the trash, it will not let me view any emails that came in prior to November. Does Apple automatically purge and permanently delete eamils after so long?

On your device or computer, you may have a setting that automatically deletes emails in the trash bin after a specified period of time. For example on an iOS device: Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>[your icloud email]>Account, in the Advanced section, tap Mail, then Advanced, scroll to bottom. In the Remove option, what is the period of time before deleting messages?
Check this on all devices and in the Mail settings of your Mac.
