Q: I have several apps on my I pad and can't update because not enough storage so I updated to increase storage as the I pad directed me but still can't update apps?

I can't update my apps because it is telling me storage if full and directs me to purchase more storage which I have done but still can't get apps updated

iPad 2, iOS 7.0.3

You need to delete some of your iPad's *on-board* (Apps, music, videos, etc) content to make room.

Settings>General>Usage. Delete Apps you don't need from here or music & videos you no longer need on the device.

The storage you are likely talking about "purchasing" is for iCloud Storage where your backups of music and content are stored *as a backup*. You get 5GB for free but need to purchase additional if you need it. You cannot run apps from iCloud...they must be on the actual device.
