I have lost all entries on my i-phone calendars!

I have lost all entries on my i-phone calendars. My software update won't go through supposedly because I don't have enough storage. I got rid of a lot of apps but still get the same message. I am worried! Can you help? Also, how can I get rid of my yahoo mail app. I don't use it anymore, but has no little x in the corner to activate on the main screen.

You are getting this error because you are trying to update your device over WIFI. NEVER update your device over wifi because it is too unstable. First, do a backup of your information in iTunes. Second, update your device in iTunes. If done this way you will never get the error stating you have too much data of your device.
